This is Gonna Hurt Review and thoughts.

Hello Friends,
I have been listening to a lot of new music, well let me elaborate a little. Not exactly new, but it's new to me. I recently just got Sixx Am's "This is Gonna Hurt" album. Let me tell you what, that album is just as deep as "The Heroin Diaries" if not deeper. I can't help but almost feel this deep connection to the song, "Skin". Now if anyone knows anything about the book that goes with the album, he took different pictures of people and some people had some "differences" if you will, I don't know how else to describe it. But none the less, these people are just like me and you and have feelings as well. It's actually a beautiful book and the pictures that where taken where absolutely amazing. The lyric that get's the me the most in this song is, "They don't even know you, all they all see is scars, they don't see the angel living in your heart. Let them find the real you buried deep within, let them know with all you've got, that you are not your skin." I think these lyrics can hit home to almost anybody in different ways. Everyone has lived different lives and experienced different things...some positive some negative and alway some where in between. But really at the end of the day, everyone is the same on the inside, we all have blood, muscles, bones, nerves, feelings, emotions. Nobody is any different than the person standing next to them. What separates us and makes us different is society. That's really it. But that's another topic for another day haha. Another song that has badass beat to it, is without a doubt, "Are you with me now?" That song is so beautiful and the lyrics are just amazing. This whole album everyone has felt these emotions at some point or had these thoughts in their head. I find Sixx AM to be a band to watch...they always seem to do something new  and a little shocking. Another song that is awesome goes without saying, "This is Gonna Hurt." Title song to album and book written by Nikki Sixx. The drums, the guitar the bass, the lyrics. I've been listening to this song a lot while going through Self Actualization. Don't judge, I'm almost twenty five. Haha. Overall I give this album an eight of ten. I say eight of ten just cause I didn't like every single song. The songs I did like, it is amazing. The production of the album is good, James Michael (lead singer)'s voice is absolutely amazing, DJ Ashba's guitar and piano playing is awesome, Nikki is amazing on bass and the lyrics are really deep and true and about every emotion we feel in life. If you really listen and just do just that you'll understand it. Good album, I suggest giving it a listen. Till next time, words of wisdom for the night,
"It's your life, you gotta do what you want and just go with the flow of things and learn to be happy and be positive. Just cause your being positive and happy doesn't mean you've lost that deep part of you. It just means you've dealt with your deep side and you've learned how to be happy." -Myself.
